PC games are not dead... Physical PC games have a long history, dating back to the early days of gaming when titles were distributed on floppy disks, CDs, and later DVDs. Before digital distribution became dominant, purchasing a game meant owning a physical copy complete with a disc, a manual, and often extra collectibles. Even though digital platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG now dominate the market, physical PC games still hold a niche appeal. Some gamers prefer collecting physical copies for nostalgia, resale value, or preservation purposes, while others enjoy the tangible aspects of owning a boxed edition. Many older games also remain playable through disc-based installations.
